Saturday Hunt

Saturday between rain storms we decided to go bird hunting.
We were able to get in one good climb before the thunder came back.
Headed off the hill for another spot trying to stay ahead of the front.

Saturday Hunt

Erin coming down off the hill, no birds.

Saturday Hunt

We were able to hunt for about 20min until the rain came.
Managed to get a couple shots off at a Jack Rabbit.

Sept 13-14th

Well Erin and I went back up to Dagger Falls this weekend.
The bear bait has not been touched, so I freshened it up and I will check it again this weekend.
I went bowhunting Saturday night, but did not see anything.
Sunday morning there was a couple of mule deer doe's in camp.
Next weekend I will be checking the bear bait and rifle hunting for mule deer in a unit next to the unit that we are bear hunting. It is a new area, so we'll see what I get.

Sept 13-14th

Mule Deer Doe
This mule deer doe was hanging around camp Sunday morning.
She was on the hill across from camp early in the morning when I went to check the bear bait.
Then later as we broke camp she came out to the river as we packed up.

Fishing on the Middle Fork
No fish this weekend.
The water level dropped alot from last weekend.
Most of the good pools were really low, and in an hour and a half no fish.
Went back to camp for a bowhunt that night.

Middle Fork of the Salmon River

Here are some pictures from Sept 6th-7th at Dagger Falls Camp.
This weekend I did some fishing and put out a bear bait.
These three pictures are of the Salmon River.
The water was so clear you could see the trout chasing the spinners.

Fishing the Middle Fork of the Salmon

Here are some the fish that I caught this weekend.
Took a while to figure out the right spinner.
Once I did I caught 20-25 trout and lost at least that many.
This area is catch and release and barbless hooks.

Dagger Falls Camp

Here is a view of camp from the hill across from camp.
Took this picture as I was coming back from checking the bear bait.

Bear Bait

Here is the bear bait that I put out this weekend.
Hopefully something will hit it this week.

Fishing the Middle Fork

Dad fished and Mom picked lots of berries along the river.
There were alot of berries, but Mom also found some fresh bear poop along the river.
They were feeding on the berries so we had to be careful.
