On Sunday November 9th I took this 4x4 whitetail near Elk City, Idaho. I shot him about 300 yards from the spot that I took the spike elk earlier in the season. He was a nice heavy buck with a swollen neck and was searching for a doe when he came by me. Took about 4 hrs to get him back to camp, but it was worth it. Here are some more pictures from that day.

Every category of Idaho’s whitetail deer hunting record book entries are from this area. The hunters use tree stands for the most part and set these up so the hunter can see the deer and size him up better than any other method. Whitetail hunting this area since 1981, gives the hunters very good idea on deer movements during any weather condition.
